David Shyde grew up immersed in the rich musical & colorful traditions of his amazing birthplace, Brazil. In addition to being raised listening to traditional Brazilian music, he was also absorbed in the edgy artistry of Buddy Guy, Mr.BIG, ACDC, Metallica, Joe Satriani and Led Zeppelin. He grew up singing and playing blues and rock while maintaining a fond appreciation of Brazilian samba and bossa nova. When you take all of that musical influence and combine it with David’s silky and soulful voice what you get is the “Shyde Sound”.
